The name of this product says it all. It screams luxury. La Prairie traces its proud heritage to the highly renowned Clinique La Prairie in Montreux, Switzerland. For more than half a century, the Clinique has been the pioneer in cellular, anti-aging therapy, sharing its unique accomplishments with thousands of visitors from around the world. Since 1982, Laboratoires La Prairie, Switzerland has no longer been a part of Clinique La Prairie, but has been the birthplace of extraordinarily effective products that help manage the skin aging process. The White Caviar Illuminating Système combines luxury and innovative technology to offer the most advanced anti-pigmentation and firming benefits available from cosmetic treatments.
This product combines anti-aging, anti-pigmentation and luminescence with pearlescent pigments to said to inhibit melanin production, detoxify and beautify, leaving the skin surrounding the eye brighter and more even-toned with improved firmness.
The directions indicate to use AM and/or PM, after cleansing and toning, by smoothing the serum under the eye from outer corner to inner corner, paying special attention to darkened areas. Some consumers fell in love with this product, from the luxurious packaging to the amazingly smooth, easy-to-apply serum that absorbed rather rapidly. Other consumers felt that despite the over the top display, the product offered little to no results and that this product over promises and under delivers. Specific feedback included that the pump tends to stick and it is hard to gauge the amount of serum to apply.
We weren’t able to find much scientific evidence to support the high price. The product doesn’t clearly claim to do much and for the cost, we feel that there are better products available.
MY SISTERS AND I SPLURGED ON THIS PRODUCT FOR OUR MOM’S 50TH BIRTHDAY! SHE LOVES IT! SHE HAS HA D REALLY POSITIVE EXPEREINCE WITH THIS PRODUCT. HER WRINKLES HAVE BEEN SOFTENEND AND ARE FAR LESS NOTICEABLE. SHE DOESN’T HAVE ISSSUES WITH UNDER EYE CIRCLES TO BEGIN WITH SO THE FACT THAT THIS PRODUCT DOESN’T DO MUCCH FOR THEM IS A NON ISSUE FOR HER.
Hello Ronald, What is the cheapeast price you have found this serum for? I would like to try but the cheapest I have found it for is around $265.
It does appear that Amazon.com has the most competive pricing right now and the products are supposed to be guaranteed authentic. Sellers can be banned from Amazon if they are found to be selling fake products.
Let’s just be honest here. For this kind of money you can purchase 20 units of Botox, see results within 10 days and have money left over for a moisturizer with sunscreen. This product doesn’t even make a claim to reduce under eye circles. Don’t waste your money.
really like this product. i have been a fan for awhile. I am 34 and have had dark circles for a long time. now i am getting wrinkles too. tried this product because nothing else worked for me and to my amazement, this one did.
EXPENSIVE CREAM, GORGEOUS PACKAGING, ITS NOT CREATED FOR EVERYONE. IVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR ABOUT 6 MO AND HAVE BEEN HAPPY WITH IT. IT DOES EVERYTHING IT CLAIMS TO DO.
Try Amazon. I just noticed that there are quite a few sellers selling brand new from $165. I assume it’s guaranteed authentic? I would imagine that Amazon has a strict policy against fake products.
This product has an iridescent shimmer to it, but it doesn’t go on like glitter, don’t worry. Use this product in conjuction with LaPrarie Caviar eye cream for max results and you should literally see a difference overnight. The 2 products combined however are very expensive so this product def isn’t for everyone.
Sometime I will use just the serum during the day and the cream at night, because it’s a little more heavy then the serum and seems to moisturize better.
beautiful packaging, lightweight texture and color. It looks like there is glitter in the serum, which is pretty neat. been using for about 2 weeks now, no improvements yet, but going to continue using. really hope it works for the price
I have to admit, the fancy packaging drew me in. I’m a sucker for anything that looks good. I’ve been using this product for about a month no, with little to no results to report. to you all. Everything about this product is great, from the packaging, to the smooth consistency, but it just doesn’t provide results for the investment.
Really nice but I can’t afford this product. I already spend a ton on makeup, hair products and beauty supplies and I just can’t spend $200 on a cream that may not work. I use Clinique and I have been happy so far. Much lower price point.
There may be a lack of feedback on this product because of the price! Can’t imagine there are that many people using this product! I honestly will not spend that kind of money on a topical treatment. No way.
