Similar to my entry about the “eye wrinkle cream,” an “eye contour cream” is also a term used for any cream or gel solution around the eye area. Once again, it’s a marketing phrase that picked up steam and several companies modeled their product names after this terminology.
Several products, whether gel-based, cream-based, or even a serum, call themselves contour creams. It’s important to know that this can basically mean any solution that is applied around the eye area. Sorry for all the confusion, I certainly wish it wasn’t this tricky. Confusing, common-used terms like eye contour cream are a big reason I started this website and enjoy educating people about cosmetics.
