Dermalogica Total Eye Care is an advanced alpha hydroxy eye treatment cream that contains gentle alpha hydroxyl acids and plant extracts that can reduce the appearance of puffiness and fine lines. The optical light diffusers help to diminish dark circles and a chemical-free sunscreen helps to shield against further sun damage, a number one cause of premature wrinkles. This product prides itself on being chemical free and artificially fragrance free. This product is tinted so it does conceal as it goes on, although you may still need to use concealer over it.
This product certainly delivers. It is light enough to use twice a day. It goes on smoothly, isn’t greasy and doesn’t cake, provides built in SPF and concealer without using additional products, and begins to work on dark circles in a short amount of time. This product will last on average 6 months, despite the small tube (.5 fl oz).
Unfortunately, this product doesn’t do much to diminish the fine lines and wrinkles despite the alpha hydroxyl acids.
If you are looking for a moisturizer, dark circle reducer, and sunscreen, this product is for you. However, if you are looking for a “Total Eye Care” product that will reduce under eye circles and fine lines and wrinkles, this product will fall short of total eye care expectations.
I find that the total eye care product effectively regenerates the skin around my eye area and undose all the damage caused by constant make-up application and removal, and the occasional rubbing of the eyes because of my contacts.
I have always had good success with products that contain alpha hydroxyl acids and I’m happy to report that this product was no different. It didn’t aggravate my skin, and it really refinished my skin and evening out the skin tone.
SUPER DRY SKIN IS MY PROBLEM AND THIS PRODUCT DOESN’T GIVE ENOUGH MOISTURE TO MY SKIN ALONE SO I HAVE TO USE ANOTHER PRODUCT ON TOP SO MY SKIN ISN’T DRY. TOO EXPENSIVE TO HAVE TO USE ANOTHER PRODUCT AS WELL.
I have always suffered from “circles” under my eyes and I wondered how well it would really help me. It didn’t work any better or any worse then other products i tried. Wouldn’t recommend based on the fact it doesn’t work any special wonders.
this product is good, I use it every morning before putting on my make-up and every night after removing my makeup. It doesn’t take long for it to dry. It gives an immediate brightness/wake up to your eyes (not a white flash though). It helps decrease puffiness as well as dark circles. I put little bit of concealer still to cover everything but for sure I’m using my concealer less than before for my under eye area.
perfect for me since i don’t have fine lines anyway, just dark circles and dry skin. i use this product under my eyes in the am and all over at night. hydrates and isnt sticky. i’m happy.
I have super sensitive skin so I should have known that the alpha hydroxy would be too much for my skin to handle. Shortly after applying my face turned red and burned terribly. I had to wash it off. looks like i wont be albe to use it.
Total Eye Care is the perfect Multi-Purpose Eye Cream! excellent for every day use because it balances the coloring around my eye area and it gets rid of puffiness! It also has Lactic Acid to keep fine lines away and it has SPF15 so I know the area is being protected from UV rays. Overall, it makes my eyes feel and look very refreshed and alert! I still personally use Elite Serum though for the deep wrinkles as it is much stronger.
it is light weight and non-greasy and it instantly brightens the eye area and makes it smooth and ready for makeup application. however if you need a wrinkle cream this is not for you.
A few friends recommended this product and I read the reviews on several sites and the feedback was pretty posivite overall. I have tried many different eye creams, and this is definetely up there with the best. I’ve only been using it for 3 weeks and I am already seeing results.
purchased total eye care because i have dark circles under my eyes. I have been using it for 4 months now, everyday, with and without makeup. sadly there has been no change. wouldn’t purchase again.
It doesn’t solve the issue of dark circles under my eyes completely but it does help. Great moisturizer and sunscreen but pricey for just those 2 benefits.
I suffer from dark dark circles and pufiness. Tried tons of different eye creams, from Ole Henriksen, Philosophy, to even Mary Kay. I think it’s really hard to find the one when it comes to eye treatments. After using Dermalogica’s, I have to say, I still haven’t found the one.
RONALD GOLD HITS IT ON THE HEAD ABOUT THIS PRODUCT. IT RETEXTURIZES THE SKIN AND MOISTURIZES AND HAS BUILT IN SUNSCREEN BUT OVERALL THE PRODUCT DOESN’T DO MUCH FOR WRINKLES OR BAGS.
I HAVE A NO FUSS APPROACH TO BEAUTY PRODUCTS. I DONT WEAR A TON OF MAKEUP AND DONT SPEND A LOT OF TIME GETTING READY IN THE AM. THIS PRODUCT CONCEALS SO THAT ALONE FOR ME MAKES IT WORTH IT EVEN IF IT DOESNT WORK ON WRINKLES.
Thoroughly enjoying this product. Had used another eye cream in the past, but this is far superior to the other product. Love the alpha-hydroxy, it really makes the skin feel firm! It does have somewhat of a drying effect, but if you apply a seperate moisturizer over top at night it helps.
Started using a week ago and already I am thrilled with the results. The area around my eyes is very hydrated and softer. The build in SPF is great too.
