Blue-Ribbon1-148x300This page has the same results as the “Best Eye Serum” page, but some people get confused by the terms that many companies use in their marketing campaigns.  The beauty industry is a confusing industry!  Many terms are used interchangeably and unless you are a beauty product aficionado, you are most likely somewhat clueless as to the differences in eye treatments.

To provide an explanation once and for all, eye creams, eye gels, and eye serums are all under-eye products that work to:

  • Remove wrinkles and fine lines
  • Eliminate dark circles under the eyes
  • Treat puffy eyes
  • Leave you looking refreshed, restored and younger

The terms cream, serum, and gel are used by marketing minds in different ways, to capture the interest of different audiences.  All products are formulated to have similar effects on the skin; however the ingredients vary product to product.  Skin care experts will vehemently argue that there are different levels of viscosity between the three the three types of products, and they are 100% correct.  Viscosity is the level of thickness of the cream.  The ingredients and level of viscosity is what distinguishes one product from the next.  However, when companies name and market their products they do not keep this in mind. They simply name a product, come up with marketing material, and brand it accordingly.

For example, you will run across some companies that brand their eye treatment as a “contouring cream” or a gel.  This is merely the way in which they are marketing their product.  Categorizing themselves by name as slightly different than the saturated markets of serums and creams.  They don’t necessarily work any better or any less.

As announced on the “Best Eye Serum” page, we’d like to congratulate Elite Serum for going above and beyond all other eye creams to win the award of  the “Best Eye Cream” we’ve found to this point in time.  There were a lot of factors involved, specifically, the packaging, ingredients and of course the results the product produces.  The revolutionary formula that combines cosmeceuticals and antioxidants and the unique, industry-first packaging, really put the Elite Serum in a league of its own.  Not to mention it visibly reduces eye wrinkles quite well and diminishes dark under eye circles and puffiness.

If you read the “Choosing an Eye Cream” page, you know what factors we evaluate when rating an eye cream. If you haven’t read it, we encourage you to do so in order to understand how we rank the best eye creams.   We look at factors such as:

  • Ingredients – What is the product comprised of?
  • The facility in which the product is manufactured – Is the product made in the USA?  Are the manufacturers following FDA guidelines?
  • The company behind the product – Does the company have an 800# listed on their website?  Do they respond to emails and questions promptly?
  • Whether or not the product is tested on animals – I typically don’t review any sort of anti-aging eye cream that was tested on animals at any state of development and to my knowledge; none of the products I tested on this site were tested on animals.

The reviews and feedback received from everyone involved in the eye cream review process was extremely valuable.  We would also like to thank everyone who visited EyeSerum.com and helped determine the best eye cream.  The eye cream reviews were typically consistent with our research, and we certainly look forward to additional reviews as we expand this website and obtain more products to review.  If you have a review you would like to submit to us, please contact us by using the “Contact Us” tab at the bottom of the page.

Once again, congratulations to Elite Serum for being named best eye cream.  You can visit the official website of Elite Serum here:
