We will preface the review of this under eye product stating that we found it on Amazon.com, the largest shopping portal for consumers.  We normally like to highlight the eye serums that gain many reviews – positive or negative, and check them out and compare them to other products aimed at using under the eyes to treat the numerous signs of aging.

Olay Regenerist Eye Serum, 0.5 Ounce

The Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum claims to make customers “notice a complete turnaround in 24 days and all around eye firming, smoothing, and brightening.” While we are in love with the price at $15.99 on Amazon.com, it’s hard to put a product at this price point among the top eye serums on the market. While the product does contain a massive amount of ingredients, it does not contain one ingredient we highly recommend, Hyaluronic Acid. Research shows better results with eye serums containing hyaluronic acid, which the body produces naturally up until a certain point.

The Vita K solution for dark circles is usually one of the top sellers on Amazon.com in the dark circle treatments category, so we decided to take a look at it and compare it to the Dark Circle Serum, which is sold at a much higher price point when you compare the two eye serums.

This eye serum talks about using the power of Vitamin K to fade away dark circles and blotches. While it is a great concept and we like their marketing ploy that “dark circles make you look tired,” their claim that “nothing works faster” was quite wrong. We have had various teams of people test numerous eye serums and Vita K didn’t hold a candle to the competition in that respect. We found out about this eye cream after being intrigued with the approach this company took by adding Rye Oil, which the company maintains “boosts the natural defense of skin cells and the synthesis of a number of proteins that promote cohesion of dermis and epidermis.” We liked the fact that this night cream didn’t make our testers have that oily feeling on their skin.

While most of our testers maintained it was a great eye cream as far as moisturizing goes, it did very little to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles around the eye area. Proctor and Gamble’s DDF Bio-Molecular Firming Eye Serum is an eye formula that is intended to reduces dark circles, fine lines and puffiness around the eye area, as well as toning, firming and moisturizing the skin. Its active ingredient is a combination of proteins and peptides and the cream also contains some botanical extracts.  It comes from the long line of DDF skin products, a name that has been a strong brand in skin care for the last decade or so.
The serum is marketed as a 3-in-1 product, said to moisturize, firm and tone the skin, and reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.
